"This product is extremely useful and I concur with the prior review posting that every operator should have at least two of these on their person. Its a great product, cheap, fast, easy to use and in my personal opinion beats all other products of its type."

Finally an effecitive, simple, low-cost tourniquet

"As a tactical medic, I have had a hard time getting buget approval for more expensive tourniquets for every operator on our team. I personally think that each operator should have two - one in a kit and another in quick access for self-application as rare as it may be.
The SWAT-T is cheap and as effective as any other tourniquet in the market. In fact, the wider band should decrease neurological injury. in a recent course, I taught some teams guys both the SOF and the SWAT-T. Despite my hypothesis, the SWAT-T seemed easier to self-apply and definitely easier for guys to apply on each other.
The other great thing about this device is that it is small enough to put on a patrol belt or in a pocket. For tactical operations especially, this tourniquet is the answer for small, simple, lightweight, and low-cost. Nice work Dr. Blankenship."
