Pros: Heavy duty, can be flight certified, very easy to use, self-checking
Cons: Pads detector beeps forever if you don't have a replacement
"We use the FRx on our BLS med support projects, and it has been great - very reliable, easy to use, and water-resistant. It is heavy duty and has been used around the world. We added the aviation bundle and use the standard carrying case in a backpack most of the time, fits easily in the pack and is relatively lightweight.
A big issue for us in remote settings as well as our clients is that we carry an AED that won't get recalled, which is unique to Philips - very few recalls.
There is a cool feature that detects pad moisture and beeps at you once the pads have gone bad. That said, if you don't have another set of good pads, it will beep at you if they are still plugged in."
