"This is an excellent headlamp, it is highly rugged and durable and is amazingly bright and great on batteries ( 3 AAA; I use rechargeable AAA and keep a spare alkaline pack with me). It is not one of those headlamps where you have to worry if it is going to fall apart on you, because it is extremely durable, yet compact, lightweight, and easily fits in a pocket. The headlamp has 5 settings, bright, medium, and low, and a flashing setting. It also has a push spotlight feature which puts out one of the brightest beams I have ever seen. It also has a beam diffuser which can slide in place. I bought one of these several years ago, and it is by far the best headlamp I have ever owned, and I have owned quite a few, and a great deal at less the $50, and I have never had a single problem with it."
