Customer Reviews for King LT-D™ Supraglottic Airway
"The King Lt-d is an amazing supraglottic airway, that is much more simple than the combi-tube. Easy to place, easy to verify, I will use the King lt over a dual lumen airway any time!"
Cons: Multiple sizes needed - moreso than Combitube
"I have taught combitube for a long time in EMT-B courses, and was introduced to the King LT at a recent conference on difficult airways. Simply, this device will be the de facto standard in basic airway management.
The King LT is in all of our WEMT courses, and we have found a close to 100% success rate with difficult airway mannequins, with an average time of 11 seconds (from the time a student stops BVM vent with an airway, to the delivery of a breath via the King LT) to complete insertion.
The military is using the King LT for Tactical Combat Casualty Care, and has been extremely successful in that setting. Recently, the King LT became the rescue device of choice for our ALS Medical Support Group protocols. Highly recommended."

The best secondary airway device
Date:June 5, 2007
Pros: Easy to use, better airway control, no confusing two tubes and syringes to use
Cons: none
"I came from a service that was dependant on the Combitube. I had the privilage of using the King airway on 4 occassions and it worked extremely well each time. One case was a severe trauma to the face, making endotracheal intubation impossible. The King airway worked better than advertised. I had an excellent airway for the duration of the call."
