"This is such a excellent piece of gear. We have been using the KTD for several years as well as Hare and Sager splints. The KTD has stood on its own not only for Wilderness/SAR use but also in conventional EMS/Fire use as well.
The fact that one person can apply this with practically no limb manipulation of the injured extremity is sooooo nice.
When stowed in its pouch it is extremely compact and lightweight.
It is very simple to use and very effective at providing traction.
I have been happy to see this start infiltrating into conventional/urban EMS and Fire."
