Love this pack!
Date:August 10, 2007
Pros: Lots of space, comfort
Cons: Price
"Before purchasing the Longbow Ranger I used a standard Longbow pack from Conterra and they rank #1 and #2 for most comfortable packs I have ever worn! I have tried Camelbaks, Northface, Lowe, and Arcteryx packs for SAR work and have never found one that really "fit" the gear configuration that we use without just getting some giant pack that is poorly balanced. The Longbow Ranger has LOTS of room, a nice medical compartment in the front, a nice top flat pocket, storage for avalanche probes and other rope/rock/ice tools. It also is the most comfortable pack I have used. It just hugs your back staying tight whether you are crawling, running or bending over. It also provides enough sotrage for me to put 48 hours of gear into my pack without having to strap anything to the outside."
